Bring in the New Year and make your resolution to attend North Star Roller Derby’s first regular bout of the season this Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum at the State Fairgrounds!
Which teams will be the lucky winners to advance their standings toward the Championship and which teams will be, well, *hit out of luck? Doors open at 5 p.m. and the action starts at 6 p.m.! Take note, this bout brings us back to our more familiar location.
First to fight are the Kilmore Girls taking on the Violent Femmes. Next on the track are the Banger Sisters versus the Delta Delta Di. Between the hard hits and apex jumps, halftime entertainment will be provided by Fistful of Datas, a Minneapolis-based band that covers your favorite songs from the 90s. Tunes throughout the night will be provided by our own local DJ, Barb Abney. Sweet! But wait, the totally cool party doesn’t stop there. Come hang out with us at the after party at Psycho Suzie’s Motor Lounge in our very own section!
