Athletic Background: Nerd alert…I was in my high school marching band color guard (go Marching Jays!). While some may scoff and say that doesn’t qualify as “athletic,” I would argue otherwise. Spinning and throwing flags/sabres had my arms in the best shape of my life then, and it is the main reason I can still kick butt when it comes to doing push ups!
Most Proud Derby Moment: When the Northern Lights played against MNRG over the summer -I picked up my first grand slams! I didn’t have much experience jamming in bouts so this was a HUGE deal for me 🙂
Worst Injury To Date: Worst derby related injury would be sprained ribs. I went airborne and came straight down; introducing my lower ribs to my teammate’s wheel (I still have the mark 9 months later).
Explain Your Derby Name: I have always been fascinated with the Kennedys and especially Jackie O’. I think that pretty much says it all.
What Brought You To Derby: I worked with Stabby Kat who was always talking about derby this and derby that. She got me to go to a bout and the rest is history.
First Thing You Do After A Bout?: BREATHE! Then I definitely grab some greasy grub.
